J. Jerry Koch, President and CEO of Financial and Tax Planning, Inc., founded our company in November 1984.  He believes effective use of our resources and our communications will allow us to serve more individuals and businesses with the same consistency of quality service provided in the past.

Mr. Koch is a member of the National Association of Tax Consultants, National Society of Tax Professionals, Washington Association of Accountants, and the Washington State Tax Consultants.  He successfully passed the Enrolled Agent exam in 1986 as well as the National Association of Securities Dealers  Series 63 and 7 Exams.  He is a Registered Representative with Abacus Securities Corporation, member of the National Association of Securities Dealers and a licensed Investment Advisor Salesperson with the State of Washington.

Since 1988, Mr. Koch has served on the Board of Directors of WSTC, elected to the offices of South Sound Chapter President, NATC Representative, and State President.

Before founding Financial and Tax Planning, Mr. Koch was with Peter Kiewit Sons, Inc., with responsibilities in accounting, home office administration, internal auditing, and nuclear quality assurance.

Mr. Koch has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA.
